Dr. Prashant Junankar, MA OTR, PhD

After receiving his Masters in Occupational Therapy from New York University, Prashant worked as a therapist at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson from 1988-1991. In 1991, essentially on impulse, he decided to open up his own private practice and Healing Hands Rehab, Inc. was born. Prashant currently works at the Clifton branch. Prashant received his PhD from  UMDNJ in Biomedical Informatics. His publication on Clinical Decision Support System in Flexor Tendon Injuries, Zone 2 was published in the International Journal of Medical Engineering and Informatics (2009 Vol. 1, No..3, pg. 275 - 289).

Asha Junankar, MA OTR CHT

Asha attended New York University and graduated with a Masters in Occupational Therapy. After graduating, Asha joined the staff of Montefiore Medical Center in New York, where she eventually became the Assistant Chief of Occupational Therapy. After leaving Montefiore, Asha worked at Chilton Hospital's Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation division. In 2005, she left Chilton to join Healing Hands' Wayne branch.

Asha has over thirty years of  experience in dealing with a wide variety of hand and arm injuries, from all kinds of trauma, carpal tunnel syndrome to tennis elbow and shoulder problems. She is also trained in the field of myofascial release and certified in treating lymphedema. Asha believes in empowering her patients with the knowledge and one-on-one attention to help promote lasting recoveries in all types of hand to shoulder problems..

Edwin Wills, PT, Cert MDT

Ed Wills graduated from Daemen College with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. He has since received his certification in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the Spine. Prior to moving into private practice, Ed was the Director of Chilton Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation and Director of Chilton Occupational Health. In 2009, Ed left Chilton to join Alpha Therapy Services as a Physical Therapist until joining Healing Hands Rehab in 2019.

Ed's desire is to educate his patients and equip them with the knowledge and tools for self-empowerment and self-care, in addition to providing one-on-one manual therapy.

Dr. Cornelius Asare, DPT

Dr. Cornelius Asare is a licensed Physical Therapist and the new member of Healing Hands Rehab Family. Cornelius focuses his Physical Therapy treatments on utilizing his manual therapy skills and providing patient education and activity modification to help improve his patients’ mobility and restore their function. Cornelius attended Rutgers University of NJ where he graduated with a degree in Exercise Science and Sport Studies. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, Cornelius attended a Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Kean University where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2019. Although Cornelius is a new graduate from a DPT program, he is eager to learn and improve upon his skills with continuing education and by keeping up-to-date with current research. Cornelius enjoys playing sports, video games, exercising, hiking, and traveling. Cornelius would like to travel across the world to explore different foods and cultures.
